This small Thai Island, located in the Andaman Sea, is another gem of your trip and still remains quite well hidden and off the main tourist path. Lanta is renowned for its world-class diving, as there are several spots to get certified and actually participate in a dive or two while staying on this tropical paradise. Be sure to contact an OMB representative if you would like to know more on dive certification and suggestions we may have for you! However, Lanta offers much more than just diving. Be sure to rent a moped or hop in a tuk tuk to watch an incredible snake show (we know you may be a bit frightened or even terrified of snakes, but trust us this is a must see). The Lanta snake farm is home to several species of snakes including pythons, cobras, and some local slithering serpents. The highlight of the show is when the snake charmer actually releases the 15-foot King Cobras into his ring and begins dancing with them. You truly must see it to believe it! The bungalows that we stay at in Lanta also have fresh water swimming pools. This, of course means one thing... Pool party! What could be better than having a beverage of your choice in your hand while rockin' out to some tunes and frolicking about in a pool with all your friends? Your OMB guides may also have some suggestions of fun games to partake in and other party favors to ensure that you have the best time ever. Lanta is a place really for reflection, discovery and relaxation. It will be the quietest, most secluded, and tranquil location on the entire trip.
